Celebration!

Today is the 27th birthday for our eldest daughter. Sammy. We celebrated this weekend with a special dinner at Bacchus, one of the local Bartolotta restaurants. The evening was delightful with the four of us enjoying awesome food and time together.

The photo is of Gabby, on the left, and the birthday girl, Sammy on the right. I am not sure how they grew up so quickly, and this is another testament to enjoying every day!

Having Parkinson's did not limit my ability to enjoy the evening, although because most restaurants have tile or wood floors, I made sure to wear shoes that won't slip on floors. Remember that if you have a medical condition, it is your responsibility to advocate for yourself. All of our family and friends will support and assist with our accommodations, but we need to ensure that we do our best to know and share our needs. Knowledge is power!
