Leftover Thanksgiving
My Thanksgiving tradition of making a turkey, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes is not that unique except for the fact that after I make all of the food, I put it ALL in the refrigerator. We then go to the Hoven's in Cedarburg for a family gathering,
Following the very tasty holiday meal on Thursday, I reheated everything for tonight's dinner. Gabby & Dan were able to join us along with Papa Kailas and Todd. I figure that the fact that Dan had seconds of food, the leftovers were still awesome!
Having Parkinson's did not greatly impact my cooking, although Chris is always available for carrying or moving large or heavy items for me. When dining, I try to have a sharp knife for cutting my food since my fine motor skills can be negatively impacted due to extra hand movements. Eating more slowly is a positive side effect since I eat less that way.
I hope that all of you were able to spend part of the holiday weekend with those people who mean the most to you.
Tomorrow is Cyber Monday, so please remember to check out www.graymatter-matters.com to support research at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
