Back To School

As the new school year approaches, I had the honor of spending a morning with these 40 new teachers for the West Bend School District. On their first day of professional development, I was a local tour guide who shared the local agencies and resources during our bus ride. We were able to get off the bus and visit the Full Shelf Food Pantry, the Boys & Girls Club, the Albrecht Free Clinic, the Family Center and our local homeless provider, Family Promise. These new teachers represent the best-of-the-best. In addition to the typical Q & A session, the interview process for the new teachers included teaching a lesson and participating in a PLC with colleagues while 4-5 administrators watched and evaluated their skills. Thank you to not only these new teachers, but all of the West Bend employees who are anxiously awaiting our students in early September!
